Hello,
wath are the best healt friendly brass polish on the market?

I use Frankford Arsenal "Quick-N-Ez brass polish" but on the list of contains are listed the Nonylphenol that are a very toxic substance.

Can someone tell me the best choice for a green polish?

Thanks

Hello, thanks for the advice, I make a wet tumble with steel media my brass about 1 time over 5 or 7 firing.

I catch my brass with fingers from the ejection window so are free of dust o no dirty.

So I use the vibratory tumbler after a shooting session or for sizing wax cleaning because the te me necessary are less than wet tumbling and drying the cases.

Healthiest choice is no polish-you don't need it. Just use walnut or corn cobb media in your vibratory cleaner.
Agreed...the polish isn't necessary as the media does the cleaning and do we really care if the brass is shiny as a new car?

On the other hand, I'm not breathing or eating the stuff so I have put a bit of polish in my media....Nu Finish car wax works well....but you probably wouldn't like its material safety sheet either.

Oh and don't forget to use grafite neck lube, that's the good stuff.

One small speck, one giant mess for mankind.

You could use cheap disposable cotton (inspection) gloves or nitrile gloves if skin contact is a concern.

As far as breathing in chemicals I stay away from harsh voc type stuff because of previous lung damage.

I tumble Nu Finish a small amount of oderless mineral spirits and wallnut. The wet ingredients kill the dust associated with dry tumble.

Clean and shiny brass with no perceptible odors use the spirits and wax in moderation and they build up in the media so less needed over time.

Getting necks spotless will require lube of some kind, grafite is the best in my opinion but comes with a learning curve on use.

You will know what I mean if you have read Dr Seuss thing one and thing two cleaning up a spill.

Keep calm and reload.

One time, I dumped my usual corn cob tumbling media in a small tote to sort brass. Got distracted and forgot to dump it back into the tumbler. My kids cat pissed in it.

Best. Polish. Ever.

Tumble for 30 minutes and the brass came out looking new.

Hello thanks for the reply but, please ready the "full" thread.

Dude, citric acid is literally crystallised lemon juice... That shit's not at all dangerous to your health.

And if it's the warm water or dishsoap you're worried about being not "healt friendly" then you need your fucking head checked.

Sir, I was inviting you to read the question I posted more carefully, nothing offensive.

If you read even more carefully you will notice, perhaps, that I asked for a polish that is not dangerous for health to use in a corn cob sifter.

I hope this time I managed to make myself understood by you.

Regards

Do you eat oranges or lemons? If so you have eaten citric acid in its natural form.
