Since no one in the NV area has responded... and since many reticles are based on other ones...

Anyone know what the heck this reticle is?

I know is a bad picture... but I haven't figured out how to get the camera not to over compensate.

I REALLY want to know how to use the bars in the reticle.

That's a United States Government surplus AN/PVS-4 Gen III weapon scope.

What it has is a drop-in retcle...

...and what I don't know is what retcile it is.

    Israeli?

    German?

    Aussie?

I do know that its not a US one...

In your other threads about this reticle you said that it was something you "ordered" for your NV and had it added to the optic. It's as simple as calling whomever you ordered it from and asking them the question you're asking here.

That's true... but I ordered a "crosshair".... but a crosshair, as opposed to mildot crosshair, for a PVS-4 is a straight set of two lines...

They don't appear to know what it is they sent me. Whoops!

So, we're back to: can anyone find any data on this?

If the M16/M203 variants have ranging drops built in... I assume this one does. Hopefully it's not in 1000's of meters!

Ok... so I guess I just need to find a TVS-5 and an M60 or M1 tank.

    Humph.

I'm just gonna have to talk the folks at work into letting me into Bradley. Though I guess an M1A2 is always a possibility, I suspect an M1A1 is more likely there.... hard to say, don't know if everything is upgraded. ...and I never see them at work.

    (Mostly USAF stuff... -smile-)
