Im making an ebr with a socom 16 and a sage mod 1 stock. I want to put an advanced armament cyclone can on it but it seems the aac teeth on all their muzzle devices will come in contact with the gas plug below the barrel. Does anyone know what i can do it simply will not work with a smith enterprise gas block and i refuse to stray from advanced armament. would it work if i went with a scout squad instead?

The Scout barrel is 1.75" longer than the 16.25" SOCOM barrel and should provide enough clearance.

The military MK14 Mod 0 and Mod 1 are set-up to use suppressors.
The SOCOM uses a proprietary muzzle device that needs to be replaced with parts from SEI before using a suppressor. Currently, there are no 16.25" military M14s, but SEI is building 500 for a particular ARMY unit and the will run SEI suppressors and SEI's SOCOM gas plug.
The 16.25" SEI barrels are standard weight with 4 grooves and a 1:10 ROT.

I hope that helps.

THATS GREAT THANKS,
what is out there for me to use to regulate the gas on the suppressed scout. i hear different stories and issues with the gas

Re: Help with EBR SOCOM 16 SILENCER!!

You are very welcome.

I use the M14DC SEI/Fisher suppressor and I have no reason to regulate the gas.
A different suppressor may require a gas system modification.
