Here is one you don't see very often.
In fact, in this case, this USM8A1 with a "duster" grip is very rare. Produced in the 70's, this privided a simple but effective improvement to the standard issue knife. Produced in both aluminum and in steel, most found their way overseas and few survived. I've seen about 1/2 dozen (6) of these over the years, thats about 10X less than those that say it was never produced at all, now you all know better.
Colt 8A1 contract sheath and Colt marked blade. The only difference between the M8 and M8A1 is the length of the web hanger and the addition of the double hook. The M8A1 measures 5 1/2 inches from the top of the throat to the top of the webbing. M8 about 4.875".
