Hi everyone.

Old geezer in my 50's.
Live in a very small city in freezing and snowing north-east BC.
Received my first firearm before my teens sometime around 1972, a Cooey Model 39 .22 rifle.
Prefer rifles over handguns. Prefer expensive quality toys. Have many rifles in numerous calibers.
Enjoy target shooting. Haven't been able to find anyone who shares my same firearms interest locally.
Been lurking here for a few years and finally joined.

Recently assembled a new 300 Win Mag rifle for reaching out and touching distant targets:
- Remington 700 Sendero SF II (stainless, 26in fluted barrel, jeweled bolt)
- AI AX Chassis 20222FCBL (long action, black, folding, flush cup sling loops)
- AI AX Long Action 20 MOA Action Rail
- AI AX Butt Spike
- Accu-Shot BT10-LW17 Atlas Bipod with throw lever mount
- Barrett 30 mm Zero-Gap Ultra-High Rings
- S&B Zenith FlashDot FD7 2.5-10x56 with S&B 2in Sunshade and Tenebraex Killflash ARD

Looking mainly to improve my skills at precision shooting.

Thanks.

"Beat" as in the precision rifle specs? Or my age? ;-)
Unfortunately prices here in Canada are substantially higher than the USA, so my firearms hobby is an expensive one.

bummer. Here a fifteen minute drive in almost any directions and you can shoot as far as you can see. Decent range twenty or so minutes away, a little over six hundred, plenty of shooters. Come on down, I'll feed you Christmas dinner and then we can go shoot. It's about mid forties which after that week of fifteen below seems right balmy.
