Los Angeles
Wanted to introduce myself. I'm from LA, the beating heart of anti-gun, anti-everything USA. Yes it sucks, yes I want to move, no I probably won't (family, work, etc.). Relatively new to hunting and long range precision shooting. Pleasure to meet everyone.

Howdy from a person who lived in the San Gabriel Valley, during CA's heyday and before Gray Davis wrecked everything! I have to admit I sometimes find myself reminiscing about Rosemead, Temple City, and San Gabriel during the early 90s. Loved living in those cities. Those communities are real tight and there are no others like it anywhere else, IMO. Also lived in Pomona for a few years. Pretty rough being the only white kid in the neighborhood.

Since I used to live there:

I hate Los Angeles (Hate LA!)
I hate Los Angeles! (Hate LA!)
I hate Los Angeles (Hate LA!)
I hate Los Angeles! (Hate LA!)

Funny thing my kids hate that they were born in LA. You wouldn't be able to tell because they have a Texas accent.

Lived in Tejas for a few years. Didn't mind it at first but grew to hate it for a multitude of reasons. One of my neighbors told me I dress like a white cholo from southern California. He always told people he was born and raised in the Tejas panhandle. He was a liar! He had a fake accent and all. I still dress like a white cholo. I don't think I'll change my fashion tastes. With that said, the Dodgers (and Giants) can lick my sweaty balls.

I dress like a surfer/ skater. I don't have an accent from any where. Kids get it because that's what they hear all day in school. I loved surfing, but the traffic sucks ass. I would much rather live in OC or San Diego than Los Angeles. Taxes finally broke this camels back and I left. I would never go back to live in LA.

OC and the Inland Empire have fallen to the blue side of politics. Orange County is flirting with the idea of their very own COVID passport. That's some horse shit! Dago and Ocean Beach are cool though.

If I had to move back I would want to live in OB or PB
Not in Otay Ranch? I guess the threat of wildfires is enough to keep reasonable people away from that area. Nice homes out there though! Ocean Beach/Dago is where one of my favorite bands comes from. Lots of awesome non-commercial bands have come out of there within the last decade or two.

I rather be by the beach if I was going to spend all that money just to live. San Diego beaches are more my thing, the wife would want to be up towards LA because of family or SF because she like it better than LA. Other options for me would be Hermosa Beach or Manhattan Beach near ElPorto so I didn't have to find parking to go surfing.
