Gentlemen,
I am working on a 700 300 Blackout build and the last piece of the puzzle is the scope. This rifle will be used for vermin almost exclusively in low light/dark conditions at ranges of 150 yards or less (more likely 80 yards or less). I require a high quality, low magnification scope with an illuminated reticle. Because of the mortar like trajectory of sub-sonic loads I need to have a reticle suitable for holdovers, which means most hunting reticles won't work. While there are some great low magnification scope out there, most of them have either a straight tube or very small objective which leaves me worried about light transmission at 3:00am with a half moon. For example, the USO SR-6 dials down to 1.5x, but that 28mm objective seems kind of small for darkness. But I have no experience with this scope, or any like it. My budget is $1,500. Your input is appreciated.
Edit: I am now addicted to mil/mil, and finger adjustable turrets.
