I don't think a 9mm is going to bust a rib through a AR500 plate. But I bet the rounds you take in the hand, face or other uncovered area are going to hurt like hell. I think he should move, keep his money in a bank from now on, get a dog, and pay more attention to who is survailing him in the future.

I have a room in my house that has interior walls, and ceiling covered in 3/8" AR500, overkill yes, but even if the burn the house down, my family will be safe.
That sounds like a bullet proof oven. I hope no one ever has to test the assumption that the room is safe in a fire.
well i think the only obvious answer is to install a positive pressure system in the room, making the safe room chemical attack proof.......this would also allow you to install a full Halon fire supression system in the house, this will cover any fire hazard....as well as displacing all the Oxygen in the house (Aside from your safe room) killing all invaders that choose to remain.
...really its a win win solution.....
That sounds like a brillant solution, but it might cost more than just buying the home on either side of you and letting retired SEAL's live there rent free.
