They would have been right to do so. Just like this guy was right. Now, will the cops arrest a guy for doing what was right? If so, what does that make them?

Doesn't matter what some hypothetical thread or "see how bad the cops are" if they would have been there and shot the guy. I would have said yes, they should have shot him after he said he had a gun and was reaching, but I'm sure there would be some who said otherwise. That is irrelevant and didn't happen. Right now...all that matters is the choice the cops make. Do the police want to be the good guys, or do they care more about their money? When they arrest this man for defending himself and his livelyhood, are they the good guys?
