Fieldcraft Horizontal Stringing?

What are the causes of horizontal stringing?

On my .260 I had a lot of trouble getting tight groups and one of the strange things I've noticed is the tendency to string shots horizontally. Is it just operator error? (bad form?)

What say ye?

My bad; I was thinking vertical and not horizontal. Thanks for the correction.

Yep, I'm pretty sure it's me. I'm shooting from the bench when it happens, which I don't usually do.

I had that problem when shooting from the bench. What it turned out to be for me was that my length of pull was different enough on the bench that it threw off my trigger pull, without me really noticing at first.
A quick adjustment to the stock (lengthen it out) and I was back to missing like normal
