Hey all,

I'm looking at buying a reloading manual and I load strictly Hornady bullets so I was thinking it would only make sense to get this manual. What do you think of this book?

Re: Hornady 9th Edition Manual

If I was only allowed only one manual it would be the Hornady.
Not sure if I trust their burn rate chart though, but there are websites for that.

Re: Hornady 9th Edition Manual

hornady is on the weak side. good starting points but their max loads are often somewhere in the mid range. you will spend much time looking over at powder maker sites.

infact, i prefer the load data in my lyman and sierra manuals. hornady does do m1/m1a loads though

Re: Hornady 9th Edition Manual

I use the hornady the most. But like you i load alot of hornady. i have barnes and lymam books also. A collection of books is a must. start picking up books when funds allow.

Re: Hornady 9th Edition Manual

Then thats the best you can get if you load Hornady and nothing else.I have the 8th and found it to be really helpful for my pistol loading, hint I load Hornady bullets for pistol.

Re: Hornady 9th Edition Manual

For me the 8th edition book is worthless. You would think it would have load data for the 300 Rum for the 208 A Max.They have 190's an 220's but not there 208's.If i would have known that i would not have ordered it.That's what you get for ordering online some times.
