Thanks, I knew it wasn't what we called it... Texas trigger. We called it a Texas trigger because of how Texas defines semi-auto vs. Full auto... One round shot per function of the trigger... Pulling it is a function releasing it as a function.

oh its definately an issue. i have 2, one for AR and 1 for AK. Best way to deal with ND is only go binary when doing mag dumps.I always think that binary triggers are a great way to have a ND but that's just me.
Can't tell if serious...
Apply for a Class 7 FFL ($150).
Apply for your SOT after you get your FFL ($500).
Build whatever you want....
(laughing) NOPE! Entertainment value only. Seriously, the Battlefield Las Vegas idea is probably the winner here, or maybe OFASTS, or that other full auto shoot, name escapes me atm. $1 a bullet to shoot a machinegun. Probably Opie's best bet.
Let’s just be clear you can’t just get an FFL and become an SOT. You have to show actual intention to operate a business to the ATF.I thought a SOT was more like $2K/year. Maybe I'm off on my numbers. Weaponsguild has a lot of info on the subject though and that'd probably be the first place I'd look especially after just getting a SOT.
You're probably thinking of Knob Creek.

AhahahhahahahahahahahahhahahahahhahhahaI'm surprised by the amount of "full auto is stupid" posts in here, I wasn't aware that the hide had such a following from the gay community. I'm proud of you guys, it must really takes balls to be open like that with an audience that's mostly testosterone fueled pussy pounding men.

Every serious car enthusiast should own a Viper, every SERIOUS gun collector should own a MG.
Now is not a good time for entry into this "club" since everything has shot through the roof price wise.
Timing is everything. Talk to others that own them and get the backside. They require a gunsmith on speed-dial if
you shoot them regularly and spare parts readily on hand. I'd suggest a subsonic/suppressed host since someone ALWAYS calls the sheriff on us here at the farm when we uncork the 556. Helps to have a "club member" live near a military base as the noise just blends right in with the boys playing Cowboys and Indians.
We worked it out, it costs us about a $100 bill every time we shoot, per weapon. And YES, it's probably the most fun you CAN have with your clothes on.
We think so. And we shoot once a month.
I know of a night vision, dune buggy, desert machine gun shooting place about an hour away from Las Vegas...If it's just "go have fun", buy a ticket to Las Vegas and get a decent hotel room. Go to anyone of a dozen ranges with FA stuff to rent and go nuts. You can even do a dune buggy + M240B adventure and shoot shit up out in the desert at full speed. Or go do one of the "Operator AF" shoothouses.
Afterwards have a couple few drinks, a nice dinner and a happy ending to cure that raging hardon.
You could do that trip once a year for the next 50 and it will be cheaper than owning a belt-fed and the ammo it will burn.
Bonus: you don't have to clean anything when you're done.. At the range or otherwise.

For most individuals, full auto is a solution in search of a problem.
Speed, accuracy and violence of action with a semiautomatic will solve 99% of problems that can be solved with an automatic whatever at the man-on-man level up to being ridiculously outnumbered. Even then, applied violence against a few would cause reconsideration by the many.
except volume fire and suppressive fire. Autos are good at that.
