Next build is in the works, I have my stock and my barrel. Not being back in the states its been hard to get out and search pawn shops and gun stores for a Win 70 action with the CRF feature (I think that's what I am looking for) . I really like the claw extractor models but refer back to prev sentence. I have been using the Classic models and even Super grade models for Donor actions. Anyway I have noticed on GB that you can get a newer Win gun for a decent price. They also seem to have a new trigger system. Any thoughts on these? Pretty sure they are the same production as the FN actions which are solid. Do they still fit the same inlet?

I've done several hunting rifles on M-70 actions, both pre 64 and the later CRF models from the late 1990's and early 2000. The later rifles have worked out fine for me. Truly zero issues.
I did a .257 Roberts AI, a .338-06 , a .375 H&H Safari grade, A .300 H&H, and a .220 Swift. used the original triggers in all of them,simply had them tuned/stoned and they are fine.
DO take a look at the MRC actions. my gunsmith has done several builds on them and has been impressed. Maybe money better spent than buying a new rifle and throwing half of it away?

I generally don't throw any of the money away. Barrels and stocks if nice on the rifle usually sell to cover the cost spent on them. So far I have managed $400-$500 for Action, trigger, and bottom metal so far. When I was home I could find classics for $600 and under and super grades for $750-$800 Its a hard find but completely doable with some footwork.

I've bought two model 70's in the last year for $400/each. One was a 71' featherweight & the other a 64' with a cheap scope. Both long actions. Both in 95% or better condition. Just a minor scratch or two on the stocks. Got one on gunbroker and the other on Texas hunting forum.
I've found several Winchester shadows for about $350-$400. These are pre-FN, with a crappy plastic stock, but they may fit the bill. I picked up a 300 wsm for my father.
I helped my FIL bed his shadow into a Boyds stock. The action was a piece of shit compared to the action I used on my last 300WM which was a classic sporter gun. You could see the cost savings on the underside of the receiver. I will see if I can get him to take side/side pics of the two as he has them both at his house right now.
There were other things on the top side and through the parts that made it obvious. I.E. The barrel was shot way out to the left looking from the rear to the front. When we went to put it in the stock it was obvious. Had to trim the stock a bit more on the inlet to get it to sit in it right. It wasn't the inletting as my 300WM fit in it just fine and straight.

what options are you looking for? decent stocks from manners/mcm. DBM from CDI or PTG, triggers are simple and decent already. NF or badger bases.
I'm probably going to go with a Manners or B&C, but my problems were trying to find a DBM. I looked at PTG and it seems like a great product and price, I just don't know if the receiver will have to be modified or not.
I have a Winchester stealth 308 and yes with the exception of the MOA trigger it will fit a FN/SPR inlet and the Stealth barrel is very close to the same contour, with in a few thousandths. The Rifle impresses me every time I go to the range and shoots about 75 FPS faster than the same load used in my R700 26" Varmint. I don't shoot many 100y groups anymore but when I was developing a load for 175 smk's I had several shoot in the .2-.4 range and none were over an inch. That's as good as my custom 308... The load I settled on was banging steel 8 out of 10 landed inside .2mil at 800 and this was with milsurp 175 pulls, some of which are not round from the pulling process. I see the stealth is available from buds but it looks like they spec'ed it out with a 22 inch barrel, mine is 26" which would make it a little more handy. But mine is shooting too good to mess with. Good thing I shot it first as I had been considering cutting it down. 
My high node using Varget and Winchester brass will send 175's at 2725 and the lower node is 2620, no pressure signs and I am staying inside Hodgdon's published data.
The only thing I didn't like about mine was the factory stock was made for bench shooting with a really wide forearm and the factory trigger was heavier than I liked but I've replaced the spring with one from
Trigger Springs|Aluminum Pillar|Pillar Bedding|Gunsmithing
and a very same adjustment has it just about perfect and dropping around 3 pounds.
I put it in a FN/SPR take off stock and just installed a PT&G DBM seen here
