percentage of products can be misleading. most of what they sell is domestic, because food and diapers and stuff like that are mostly made here.
the difference are things that could be made here, but are made cheaper in places where labor is cheaper and pollution standards are lower.
what makes the walmart more evil than just putting cheap chinese products on their shelves instead of american made ones is that when there is no foreign competing product, walmart will sell the american one (if there is enough demand), but if they can, they will force the manufacturer to lower the cost to keep the business, eventually causing the labor intensive operations to be moved offshore. i have seen this firsthand.
