not counting 22's, im trying to keep it between 6-8
that number fits in the safe with out the scopes getting crushed and gets me a good mix of history and innovation.
"tactical" AX short and MC and DT (trying to stop there)
tac ops (always wanted one, dont shoot it much anymore but i cant bring myself to sell it yet)
30-06 from when i was a kid, that one has stories and scars to it
2 customs (308 and 300 win mag) before i woke up and bought the AI's (sold off 2 other customs that were sitting in the safe collecting dust and gave another one to my brother)
fathers browning BAR in 30-06 beautiful stock.
funny part is that one of the customs that i kept is actually a Tactical Rifles (yes that company), but its from 2006-7 before they shit the bed. its a honest .3 MOA rifle with FGMM 168 and about .4 FGMM with 175's. with a bunch of 1/4 moa groups as well.
One lightweight custom 300 WM for hunting up hills. that may be the only one i change out for a nicer rifle one day.
1933 german mauser from oberndorf factory matching numbers, last of the "civilian" mausers. but these were actually issued to home guard/postal/train service, before they became the SS.
since the chassis craze has taken over, i fell that a couple of good barreled actions (one light, heavy barrel, inside 1000 yards, outside 1000 yards etc) can be had and then just change out the chassis/play barbie if needed
i always/like every day want to buy more but i have to stop myself. i just dont shoot enough to warrant it, rifles are made to be shot not sit there.
had a shit load more over the years but i never really sold rifles except for the past few customs so i usually let a family member use them and never asked for them back. never liked taking money from family, felt weird to me when they could just ask and borrow anyway.
