How many of you cannot send pms?

Ive asked in the stupid questions section how to send me pms. Ive emailed lowlight through the contact info and have done everything he suggested. As in clearing my browser and allowing cookies. And I still cannot send a pm. In the tapatalk app it tells me i dont have enough permission and to contact system admin. In the desktop version the box to type in isnt clickable in all 3 versions?

What am i doing wrong? Am I the only one who cant send pms? And no i dont have access to a desktop before you ask.

First, make sure you're not in "Private" mode on Safari along with clearing everything out. Log into SH Forums via Safari, then click the down arrow at your user name in the top right > User Settings > Account. Scroll down and you will see "Private Messaging" and you need to ensure the check box is checked for "Enable Private Messaging".

And I'm PM'ing just fine, sent three today in fact. The above is the only thing that comes to mind that would be holding you back from doing the same.

Ah ha. It was the private browsing mode.

Now how do i do it in the app? Still says i dont have permission.

I just sent you a message via Tapatalk instant messenger. Not sure if that's in the forum's PM system though as it doesn't show in the "Message Center" on my laptop, more likely within Tapatalk itself. I get the same error as you do inside Tapatalk when I go to the typical private message route using the menu, not sure whether that's because I'm on basic Tapatalk and not pro, or whether it's due to a SH-Tapatalk interaction issue. Honestly, I'm not all that well versed in Tapatalk, nor am I a fan of it. More a pain in the ass than anything, but makes for Hide reading on the shitter.

Ok i got your message and had the option to respond. Ive since noticed that if the user doesnt have a tapatalk indicator by their name i cant send them a pm. But who cares. You helped me get it working on the website. The only reason I downloaded this damn thing was because i couldnt pm.

So im all good. Thanks a bunch. Now off to buy something else i dont need.
