Any one use for az coues deer hunting?
Do you ever feel like you lose at close shots or near timber?
my closest shot with the PMII 10x42 was about 75-80 yards and I didn’t have any problem finding my spot.
It's 2019
Only reason to run a fixed power is $$$.
@psinclair might chime in once hunting season is over. I bought a couple PMII 10x42’s based on his recommendation and they work great for me out in Wyoming.
What 10 fix is the best glass? Swfa has a hd
Variable magnification scopes have been as reliable as fixed since around 2005. Advancements in technology make the fixed scope obsolete. Swfa needs to keep up with the timesWhat what the only reason in 2018? 2017?

Bull. The SWFA fixed 10x is built like a tank. You could literally chop a Vortex PST in half with it and put it back on the rifle and shoot it.My limited experience is very few fixed or variable scopes are reliable long term.
Some are, most are not.
THIS is a good read that started out about a specific scope, and drifted into a discussion about scopes in general.

I dropped my .223 SWFA off the bench onto concrete, on a turret. It held zero.
Dropped it on asphalt when, like a dumbass, I picked up my .223 by the suppressor and the cover slipped off in my hand. Fell over again on the turrets. Held zero.
Yes the SWFA 10x is cheap. Glass is adequate, but I’ll always have one for my truck gun.
Same lifetime warranty as anyone else.
I use a 10x because I live in the west and drop shots on P dogs at 600+ but yes. A 6x would be handy.I would think 6x would be more better on a truck gun. Or an aimpont. Depends on AO I guess
