Here is a video and some pics of the first field test with the quad mounted turrett for the fifty (Legal in Nevada just as long as you don't travel on a public road with loaded rifle! I sought legal advice prior to testing!)

Four different shooters, pretty good vertical impact was very consistent between all of us. We had a nice little horizontal string there! 800 grain Barnes Brass Solids (bore-riders) 225 grains of H50bmg....good times!

It was a lot of fun out there! I'm going to try and sneak away Thursday after work and get more time behind the rifle.

I need to get off my ass and get some more rounds loaded, I have about 40 now, but I need another 60 for Kurt's match. I am going to try and make it out ther with you guys on Thursday...^^^^^^^^^^Yes the elk seems like it does way a ton, the new storage rack that I am building for the rear of the quad is going to have and accomodation for elk target transportation! It is 1/2" AR500 plate and it has a 1 foot square piece of 1/2" AR500 plate for the popper, it used to have a 6" circle popper on the head, but JF blew the head popper off and I have not repaired it yet

Good candidate for some jerked meat! Maybe some breakfast sausage...either way that elk had a bad day!

Definitely makes getting ready for fall more fun when you can send some at an AR500 elk target! I have some 185 grain Bergers loaded up for the 30/06 and some 750 grain AMAX loaded for the Barrett, gonna get them both dialed in and fill in the blanks in the DOPE book if we see'em they will be in range
