maybe its just because im used to using 5.56mm where sealant comes standard but im having trouble forking over the cash for silver state armory's 70 grain tsx loading due to the fact that it has absolutely no sealant and the primer pocket has no crimp. it may just be a mental thing but doesn't that sound like fragile ammo? btw ammo's purpose is for predator control and hunting on / near farm in crappy weather conditions more often than not. this round has everything i want performance wise other than seeming less than durable in bad climate conditions. am i just being silly? has any one actually had a ammo related malfunction maybe while hunting in a wet environment and thought to themselves "damn, i should of sprung for sealed ammo!" thought?

though i have researched it quite a bit.....i would love to hear any opinions/facts on silver state armory loaded ammo no matter what your application. thankyou.

that particular round would have zero issues with the termination of the perpetrators, aka - Varmints. I would use it in a heart beat.

I cant tell you how often I've had that problem, primers falling out all over the damn place, spilling soaking wet powder all over my gun. The damn stuff is so fragile that I cant use it in my AR. Bullets pushing into the case cuz they aren't glued in, I started super gluing them in myself.

Do yourself a favor, only get the good stuff, mil spec. Crimped and sealed.

Coldbore.....I have the same issues. Are you using the Gorilla Glue? I mix all my powder with Vaseline before I load my rounds. This keeps the power water proof in just about any incliment weather conditons i may encounter while hunting jackelope and banded Snipe.

Yeah it's sarcasm man. I don't think you need to worry about the durability of the ammo so much. I doubt it will ever give you any problems. Rain/snow should not be a issue.
