In a bit of a quandary, looking to pick up a compact 5.56 - 6MM Suppressor. I'm throughly impressed with the HuxWrx Ventum 762 but it's a little lackluster in 5.56 department. As mentioned above the two Im Looking at are the HW Flow 6K and the Lazarus 6.

Has anyone here done a side by side comparison?

The Lazarus is a bit heavier but has a wider variety of attachment options/Front Caps and is about $200 less than the 6k. Most of the other features seem to be a about even.

I spent some time with them yesterday at the local shop, they both look solid and honesty seems like a flip a coin situation but I was hoping for real life opinions. Thanks

That's the one issue with the HUX Flow cans is they're not HUB. In actual function, it's a bonus as it's a well thought-out, executed mounting system that does what it's supposed to and super easy to get on/off. And the direction of the exiting gasses keeps it torqued on. You can soak and shoot out the Huxwrx to clean them which makes things super easy on that front.

I have a very personal bias against Dead Air after the Sierra5 debacle (I own one that failed) so I'll just put that front and center.

What I will say is I have more than a few cans at this point and I really appreciate how well-rounded the Hux cans are from sound suppression to almost zero back pressure to recoil reduction vs. a higher back pressure can. I have other cans that "meter" better but the Huxwrx stuff just works and the gun runs considerably cleaner as well. With the "hybrid" cans that feature traditional baffles with a bypass, like the Lazarus, you'll notice almost immediately how dirty they run in comparison.

I have a Flow 762 and after listening to someone else shoot a bunch of round through my 12.5" 5.56 rifle, I was really impressed at how well it did with 5.56 from a spectator standpoint. It's quieter than my Sierra5.

The flow 556K is surprisingly quiet, I wasn’t expecting a flow through can to be so quiet based on my previous experiences with some of the older OSS cans. Gas to face is non existent and the mags and action aren’t filled with shit after shooting. I can’t imagine the 6K being any different. I would have bought it instead if I could have found one in stock.

Can’t speak to the Lazarus but DA is basically the Kia of suppressors so I wouldn’t buy one based on their track record alone.

The only thing that's giving pause on the Flow 6K is the fact it's not really a hard use can, I didn't know it has a 10,000-20,000 life span, that's only about 3-4 years for me.

That's basically if you never clean it over 20,000 rounds. If you clean it say every 2K rounds, it'll last significantly longer. There are a few who have 40K rounds on them and they're still going strong. There's also a hard use version in inconel for the 556 now called the Flow 556 MG. I think it's a K can but not 100% positive. It's expensive though.
