I'm interested in the Ventum. My immediate use is for a 5.56, but the 762 would be more future proof for a 6.5 or 308.
Ventum 556 and Ventum 762 exterior dimensions and weight are the same. Is there any performance difference on a 5.56? Would the Ventum 762 can be louder when used on a 5.56?

I have posted multiple times that I would buy 30 cal cans exclusively for small frame gas guns if I could go back and do it again. You can look at sites on the Internet that measure the DB level of the cans, my personal experience is that even with a suppressor on they are still not hearing safe so you should be wearing ear pro. In addition, I have never been able to really tell the difference between a couple of decibels.

This is a AR specific comment. If I could go back and do it all over I would look at the mounting system (they are not all equal). I would look at what they are made of, I prefer robust cans for a lot of reasons so no titanium. I would not buy a suppressor that does not have some level of flow through technology. I would buy the 30 cal version and move it around.

Thanks. That is good information. I started out wanting a YHM Turbo T3, but concluded that the reduced backpressure was still not as good as the flow-through design of the Huxwrx.

I seem to recall reading--dont ask me where--that flow through designs suffer more with overbore sizing. Maybe others can confirm or correct.

That said, I have the Flow 556 Ti and the 762 Ti and shooting 5.56 on an AR, with ear pro on, Im not sure I can tell a difference. Maybe... the 556 was a bit better, but that's more a feeling than fact. Further caveat is that it wasn't a back to back "test" and the 556 only has a few doze shots through it.

I know those aren't the cans you're considering but it might be enough if an apples to apple and oranges to oranges scenario.
