I cant get a responce from Alpha

I have two mags on order, card has been charged, 2 emails and a phone call with no responce. Do I need to dispute with my CC and order mags elsewhere ?

Any and all input appreciated.

Oh, and I am new, HI ALL !!

I am in the same boat. I ordered a mag from him 6 weeks ago. After 3 weeks I called him to get a status. aI was very polite and knowing the long wait wasn't too much in a hurry. He stated there were issues with my address? yet he had my phone number. I gave him another address since I would be at Annual Training and he said it would arrive in 3-4 days. After AT, no mag. Called him again. This time he owned up and apologized stating he "totally F#%$& up" and it would arrive in 3-4 days. The next day I received an email but no tracking number saying my mag had shipped. Going on 10 days since email and still nothing. I tried calling Chris twice today and left him a voice mail.

Not sure if I am screwed or get my bank involved. I was hoping to be able to refer his business to some of my buddies in my unit but not now.

Placed the order last Monday 11/11/13. CC was charged instantly.

I call my CC company tomorrow. This is BS. I dont care if he is a FF or not.

When you are jacking with peoples money you have to be responsive. I have heard many accounts where he is slow to respond but this is poor ethics.

My experience was limited to one failed transaction. I ordered on 5/4 got no ship confirmation for 2 + weeks and called. I spoke to Chris who was very friendly on the phone. He said he had tooling break and had replacements en route. I said no problem and he said he would be in contact to re-authorize the transaction on my card in June. I didn't hear anything back for another several weeks and sent another email on 6/26 asking if he had an update/ETA and got no response. The holding charge fell off and he never re-charged so I didn't pursue it.

What frustrates me is that I called him and he answered his phone and said mags were in stock. No worries. So I put in an order. I wouldn't have asked if they were in stick if I didn't want them to go out ASAP. I have a competition that I would like to practice for...........

For what its worth, I have delt with Chris a couple of times and have nothing but positive comments. He is a stand up guy!
He has sent me mags to try no charge. I never met the guy, but I wouldn't hesitate from doing business with him.
He will make good.

ok Just got off phone with chris. He apologized and said "a huge box of mags were all shipped out Monday...". He said I will receive mine either today or tomorrow. I will give him til Friday before I put the bus in D.

He said he is going thru a helleva divorce right now. So am I, I can feel for him. Call me a softie til Friday.

I have had similar issues contacting him on a return. Was eventually resolved but it took forever and I had to eat shipping both ways. I won't use him again, it shouldn't be like pulling teeth to get a response for weeks at time, no one is that busy and if they are then they shouldn't be taking orders.

Thanks bward, I agree.

Bringing poor customer service to light for potential customers is a great way to get started. The reason I brought this topic to this forum is because I know he visits this site. Or at least used to.

If he is going thru personal hell ( Divorce, I been thru it so I can sympathize ) then he needs to be upfront enough to say orders and updates will be delayed. Not snatch my money and let me wonder what's up.

Obviously others here feel the same way.

"Nice first post", AGREED !!

Have a nice day

I got the run around for months and months from him regarding my Type 4s. After 4 or 5 "reworks at the coating shop" and a lot of emails and phone calls, they arrived.

I don't think he's out to screw anybody, but magazines has not been his primary focus for at least 2 years.

Finally got the mags two weeks after ordering them. I have finally shot with them. After taking a hammer to the from tabs of the mags they will fit and lock into the gun. I am still having issues with them nose diving the rounds no matter how many rounds are in them. Maybe after more use they will improve.

I have since bought a 10 round AICS mag from midway. After 3 days it showed up. Fit was perfect and no nose diving of the rounds so far.

I am pretty sure I have done my last business with Alpha.

Glad you got yours. I am in the same kind of situation. I ordered 3 mags, 2 Alpa II and 1 Alpha III on the 15th of November. Money was taken right away and I got my order confirmation. Since then I have emailed through the website twice and have left at least that many voicemails with no return communications. This seems to be par for the course, if I didn't need the extra internal COAL his mags offer I would have disputed the charge and spent my money elsewhere.

Still waiting

I bought 3 Alpha II mags and he was very prompt answering my questions and shipped same day I ordered. I'm using them in a savage build with CDI bottom metal and they work as advertised. Able to load long enough to shoot Berger 185 VLDs and 190 SMKs. Chamber rounds as slick as my AI mag. I understand they don't work in every rifle build but I'm very pleased with mine.

Talked with Chris tonight and was told that my mags were shipped and should arrive within the next couple of days. asked him to stop by the forum and give everyone a quick update.
