    Filson summer sale is on.

Sales are generally the only time I buy their high priced but well made gear.

Got myself a solid pair of made in USA field khakis and some made in USA shorts (imported material, cant have it all.)

This is a chance to get a 50% off Double Mackinaw wool coat.

I have the single layer version and cant sing the praises enough. The double layer version must be some serious insulation. Im kind of jelly that its available at less than what I was gifted my coat for.

Buy quickly, seems the stuff is disappearing and only the skinny ass guy stuff will be left soon.

Is Filson stuff still made of basically canvas, or have they upgraded to the more modern stretch type material? I have an old Filson bird vest that has lasted forever, but I have tried on other garments and they are stiff and uncomfortable compared to the newer stuff that is out.

A lot of there stuff is of a canvas or heavy weight material.

Their wool products are akin to 1950s USMC alpha uniforms, not the tissue thin shit most people sell these days.

I get it though, comfort matters....other places sell clothing in a section called "Lingerie" there might be what you are looking for there......:)
