greetings,
I flipped through the FAQ section, but I could not find the information I was looking for. Hopefully you folks could help me out here. I am looking to purchase my first bolt gun and the scope lingo is very confusing. Specifically, I am looking to purchase a setup that will be able to shoot out to 1000 yards, but I have no idea what scope to consider. The only requirement that I would request is quality glass (USO, SB, NF or Leupold).
1) What would be a good all around scope to throw out a round at this distance range?
2) as far as reticles, what would be the best option? I've heard that the horus reticle makes life easier, but a mil dot reticle is the standard.
3) as far as scope base rings, what exactly is the different between the different MOA rings?
