Several years ago one of my techs bought a PSA kit. I put it together on a Bushmaster lower (IIRC) and ran four or five mags through it. Better than combat accuracy and no malfunctions. He's still shooting it.
I don't know, I just feel weirded out by the whole AR Pistol idea. And a brace?

I'll stay with an actual handgun.
I use a Ruger American Pistol 9, and interchange mags in the Ruger PC Carbine.
It's a pretty functional arrangement for me.

The trick is it isn't actually a pistol even though it would be classified as a pistol. Thanks to the retards at the ATF, putting a brace on an otherwise SBR makes it a pistol so the barrel length isn't a concern. It's mental gymnastics, and its legal, so there's that.
It's 5.56 and a 10.5 barrel.

So I saw the Stag sale. 10.5 upper with a stainless barrel en route for the same price as the PSA was.
Only difference was it didn't come with a BCG but I have like 8 spares sitting around, so that worked out. I'm also going to put a KAC MAMS on it (more than the entire fucking upper) and a Geiselle charging handle.
From my calculations, that's like 47% less peasanty!

The M2 is the cheapest part of owning an M2. Just the shit the M2 has on it costs more than the M2. Then there's the ammo. The Dillon press ain't cheap, and neither are the components and you go through powder like gangbusters, but it's all still cheaper than $5.50 per round! To save money, you have to buy in big bulk so you can get lower freight charges. You'll find yourself on military auctions looking for brass, no joke, it's how I got mine.
I don't even know how much I have in BMG shit, but I could've gotten a lot of nice optics and rifles for it. I'd regret it if it weren't my one big piece and the singular one that puts a shit eating grin on my face all these years later. And a semi M2 doesn't give much up to a full auto version either. Still so much fun all these years later.
The Recce rifle in front really puts it in perspective! Not pictured is the 100rd. and 200rd. ammo carriers, UPA, armor shield and brass/link bags. It'll probably sport a BE Meyers flash hider and a Trijicon MGRS or ACOG in the future. God this thing is so much fun. And the looks? It gives the antigunners miscarriages instantly!
What I'd really like, besides the gun truck, or rather to go in the gun truck, would be a 106mm RR w/.50 spotter.
Buffalowinter, I saw your M60 at Bullseye in Tacoma.... They even had a SAW there too along with an M2. They wanted $25,000 for that semi 60! Fuck that noise! They had a LOT of really cool, rare shit in there. Definitely changed over the years.

Thanksgiving night I started filling up a PSA shopping cart, amongst other carts. The more I put in the more I thought about how I don't really need all this shit. At the same time I was ripping apart a bottle of bourbon, which went down easy with about 1/2 gallon of egg nog.
I shot out of bed the next morning with a vague memory of something I should not have done. The purchase confirmations were in my email. My wife had already seen all the AMEX activity. So there has been a steady stream of packages... FirstLight, FirstSpear, JoeBobs, Midway, and of course PSA. All I can say is thank God I only order from CS Tactical over the phone, and no one was answering.
So here she is. Runs like a dream. As noted above, "pistol" is an arguable matter. More PSA kits on the way... the Grendels must have gotten back logged

This is the PSA 10.5" kit with the SBA3 brace, probably the same one The German bought. I bought another one several weeks ago and apparently I needed 2 more. PSA had killer deals on the Sig Romeo's, so I got some of those as well. Actually, I don't know why I bought them but I'm sticking with the "good deal" argument. And a few Grendels (12" and 18") that have yet to arrive. Hyperfires were on sale too, as were LPKs... so WTF. For lowers I have some Zev and Spikes on hand.
Point is, there are times when fit and finish just don't matter and the sometimes indiscriminate whore that lives in a cage deep inside my noggin is unlocked by bourbon and a pissed off attitude... but all's well that ends well and I am satisfied. I'm not bringing these guns to the prom and they are reliable as hell when running them as if the end days were here and a pantiless Pelosi with hair on fire was running towards me in an alleyway.

So far, I have a 10.5" M-Lok upper coming from Aero Precision, and a new lower in hand.
I was going to do the 25% off at Noveske, but I hesitated while I was weighing the implication of a possible six-to-eight week wait for fulfillment. And then I considered the whole bragging rights thing and what I really wanted out of this. So, when I went back to their site, the offer had gone off. So, I looked around and decided on Aero Precision. Happily, the muzzle device isn't permanently attached, so I can follow my own lead there, which is most likely a Noveske KX5. And I figure that if others can slum, I can, too.
Needing a lower, I called around and discovered that nobody really has "Tier One" in stock around here. I got fixated on a Noveske N4, but when I called a shop that I've dealt with for years advertising one, I found out that it was inventory vaporware. Jokingly, I suggested that their site was fibbing, and the guy got a bit torqued on the phone. So, scratch that. I finally went up the road 30 minutes after a pleasant phone call with another shop. They had a Spike's novelty jawn that would do the trick, and at a great price, to boot. Before I hung up, I confirmed with the guy that it wasn't one of the colored ones, that it was plain EBR black anodized aluminum. "Yep, uh huh, it's black." So, up I go.
Yeah, right.
Fuck me. So, my new AR (and foray back into 5.56 land) is gonna be "happier" than a Copacabana floor show. I'll deal, I hope. And, if not ...

I already sort of did it with my Glock 19x. Gold barrel, FDE/gold Trijicon RMR, and thinking about one of the triggers for it that also comes in gold.

I bought a brace lower build kit from PSA a couple months ago. Just got it mostly put together this week. 12" Faxon - 6.5grendel, 9.5" Mk8 rail, Bootleg adj carrier w/ JP grendel bolt. It's still got the shitty PSA trigger in it that needs replacing and I need an ASR brake and some grendel mags. I put 8 rds through it last night fed through 556 pmags; fed fine but could tell from loading they're not a long term solution.
