I was in my early 20s when the '80s began. I got MTV when it began. I really miss my MTV and the music of that period.

I also miss stuff like this. Anyone remember Super Dave Osborne?

There was a game show on MTV called "Remote Control" that was fun as hell.

I hate MTV with a passion now, and hold them single handedly responsible for the downfall of TV. If it wasn't for the shitty "Real World" we wouldn't have all the other crap "reality" shows.

I was 10 in '68. I miss the innocence of the '60s and '70s. Us kids never had to worry about a stranger grabbing us, or drive-by's, or gangs, etc.
But the '80s music was great. My TV was always turned to MTV from the time I got home from work until I went to bed. There was some music in the '60s I liked, and a lot more in the '70s, but the '80s rocked.

I miss the big hair on the ladies the most. I was in high school in the height of big hair 87-90... it was awesome! You'd smell white rain and then start looking for a pretty girl. I Love just thinking about it!

Summer in the 80's for me: MUSIC! Everything from Metallica to the Cure and everything in-between, Rubics cube, Atari, pacman and the arcade, slip and slides, baseball, summers that last forever, and going to work with my Pop on Saturdays and hanging out all day on Ft Bragg... he was SF and was always testing crazy com shit so he would throw me the keys to the family Honda and say "don't get it stuck". He had a different risk profile from the other Dads in the neighborhood. I learned to drive at age 8

One thing I don't miss from the 80s: Shoulder pads on the ladies... I always thought that was the dumbest thing I'd ever seen.

Ginger Lynn and Christy Canyon had a program on playboy radio for awhile, it was great. They were funnier than hell, never have seen their movies though.... might have to go google them now...

The low cut jean thing just does nothing for me, and every chick thinks she looks good in them. Hot chicks are still hot.
For a slightly bigger gal that would still look good in some 80s jeans, muffin top and plumbers cleavage are serious side effects...YUK! If she isn't perfect low cut jeans prove it. That can be good or bad I suppose.

Graduated in 87 and went Haze Grey into the Navy
I miss buying gas for my 68 Camaro at like 79 cents (Give or take). It was still cheap enough to hammer down whenever you wanted to.
I miss going into old country stores and getting the tall soda pop bottles and some pop rocks but that was more in the late seventies into the early eighties.
I miss all the American made stuff , before this invasion of cheap chinese disposable junk.
