I Think I Got Something For That Bear's Ass, Tucker

When you hear "experts" say that alligator attacks on humans are "rare," it's only because alligators big enough to consider humans as safe prey aren't as common. But put one big enough to do the job in the vicinity of a human under conditions where the gator feels he has the predatory advantage, and expect bad things. Infection could be a terrible hurdle for this poor guy to clear.

Amen to that brother. I've spent way more time in the water with alligators (day and night) than most people would find prudent. My rule was always that once they got much above 8-9ft they could have the water. A "bull" alligator was almost a different species than its smaller brethren and I tried to give them a respectable distance.

Yep. A friend of mine went duck hunting with some friends while he was Down Under. On the morning of the hunt, he was looking around wondering why no one had a retriever. When he asked, they all just looked at him and laughed.

But again, there you go. The average saltwater croc is much bigger than the average gator. But when the gators begin to approach that size, look out! There isn't much difference.

I thought this was going to be a discussion on man-scaping with a Husquvarna (I've heard that without a shirt on his back Tucker still appears to be wearing a robust sweater vest). Good thing we were all spared. Anyways, I have been around roughly 2 gazillion gators and I recommend a buddy on over watch. 99 out of a 100 will simply move off, but that one will hang around gazing at you with those beady little eyes...

MOSES! Lord, man - been wondering where the heck you were! I did a quick search on your recent posts and found your other one that explains it. Glad you're still with us (both here, and on the planet in general). Yes, I lost about 1000 posts too, but no big deal.
