I’m looking to pick up a fun range pistol in 9mm. My plan is to spend around $2,000 on it. I’m ok buying used. Do I look at the CZ Shadow, Staccato P, or something different?

Allow me to help.

Buy a Glock 47 or 45. Replace the plastic sites with whatever you can get a good deal on at primary arms or amazon. Install a different trigger shoe, I like tacticaltrigger.com and apex. Install a minus disconnector. If you want to go hog wild, buy the Radian Ramjet system and install that. Buy $800 of ammo and spend $200 on lessons.

Alternate Choice #1 - Buy the compensated Walther PDP.
Alternate Choice #2 - Buy the compensated S&W M&P.
Alternate Choice #3 - Buy the HK ( USP, P30, VP9A1).

Spend the extra 1k on lessons and ammo.

Next money I spend on a pistol i dont need will be a 357 mag of some flavor! They're just badass. S&W performance center, colt python, etc.

S&W Model 27 3.5". You can thank me later.

Though the new Colts are mighty nice too.

@308pirate is right about larger dots on pistol optics. I switched from a 3 moa chinesium dot to a 5MOA SRO. It was a vast improvement.

If you have a pistol with optic plates try a CMore RTS2 with an 8, 10 (my choice), or 12 moa dot.

You'll be amazed at how easy it is to shoot them.
