I've been a member both here and on 24HourCampfire since 2004, so I've been around Larry for a long time. The juice for him (besides shooting) is to get people to engage. So don't engage.
What can you get out of it? I don't know how, as I believe that he's a logger by trade, but he has a metric ton of firearms and optics, and he has the time and place to shoot them. Plus, he is an avid handloader. That, combined with a disdain for "accepted" truths, leads him to challenge the status quo and come up with some real hard-won pearls of gun knowledge, stuff that the vast majority of us don't have the time and/or funds to obtain.
Do you want some of that knowledge? He doles it out for free, unless you consider online insults to be akin to a financial penalty. Read his posts, take notes, admire but otherwise skip over his pretty pictures, and DO NOT ENGAGE. You'll come out way ahead if you can manage to do that.
But 99% of the fun is when someone engages.........
