Introducing the Whiskey-3 Chassis!

Re: Introducing the Whiskey-3 Chassis!

I have bad news, the Howa will not fit. The way the trigger is setup just won't work. We have a Howa here and just 3D model-ed it a few days ago. That was a bummer because it seems like a good value.

Another bummer, the older Tikka 595/695 will also not work, we were going to try an AI AE mag but that wasn't enough.

On the good side, the Sako Quad just might work!

I am looking forward to the Quad Chassis.

RE the Savage, again that's hard to say. I can't rule it out but we've got a pretty full slate for this year which includes:
T3 reg and magnum
700 SA and LA
995/TRG-S/TRG-42
M2008 SA and LA
Quad if possible
couple others </div></div>

Is there any chance of a CZ 452/453 version? I wouldn't think so but damn, I'd love to have one of those for mine. Maybe I should look into getting a Quad...

Re: Introducing the Whiskey-3 Chassis!

The Quad version would be probably six months out or more, as would a CZ version. We haven't gotten our hands on a CZ yet to see if it will fit, a lot of it depends on the relationship between the trigger, rear action screw, and magwell. Since we unfortunately ruled out the Tikka 595/695 and the Howa, we'll have that time to look into other options.

Griffin, good video! By the way you can adjust the tension on that top LOP lock cam with the set screw on top of the buttstock.

Thanks guys and keep the questions coming!

That really is a bummer. Sure seems like there is a real opportunity for someone to make a cost effective, readily available for the ever increasingly popular Howa 1500 action. Right now, there is one chassis, the Roedale, which is over $1000 with exchange rate and shipping from Germany. XLR said they would make a chassis for the Howa when I asked them.
