Scope arrived today so I took a few minutes to snap some quick pics for those interested.
I have not mounted it, tested tracking, etc. I will play with it at length this weekend.

Some specs:

Weight is 35 ounces.
Eye relief is 3.75"
Length is right at 15"
Elevation is 20 mils
FOV (I'm told) is 42' - 10.5'. Will verify this later.

Now for the new reticle. Had a difficult time with the focus on the lower powers...

Wow, I like that!
I have a new SS, I wonder if the illumination bleeds into the rest of the reticle at higher settings?
My SS has this issue, not a big deal but it has this issue...

Re: IOR 4-16x50

Mounted it up on a 243.
Seekins 20moa base and medium rings.
Barrel is a Bartlein bull sporter for reference.

This scope has a long tube and which gives it a lot of flexibility when mounting on short and long actions.

Have right at 13 mils of up left after a bore sight.

Will update more particulars when I can get it on a range.

The more I play with it, the more it grows on me. Thought the weight would bother me ( I was told/expecting the scope to weigh in in the mid-high 20's) but it feels right at home on this rifle.

The glass is superb, FOV is very good and all the controls are smooth and tactile.

Re: IOR 4-16x50

Looks like it may turn out to be a great option. Right off the bat I have some minor criticism on the reticle, 5mil is well defined for the elevation, but why would IOR not have moved that location to the right to indicate 5mil elevation AND windage?

Actually was comparing these two today at 12x.
The IOR has a wider FOV, heavier reticle and warmer view which is typical of IOR.
Saw no discernible CA in either scope.
Have yet to fire rounds with either of them. Can't get myself to shoot in these 100+ temps.
