I'm going to put in for SWFA here, just cause I ordered one from both, swfa was easier to deal with, both had errors in my orders swfa fixed theirs faster.
I have 3 ior scopes now only complaint is the variables that go to 1X the cat tails should be on both sides so you can keep your firing hand on the weapon when changing magnification. (ior pitbull, the 1.5-8 and the 1-10 which I don't have)
couple other things are silly, like why does the pitbull have exposed turrets? its a 1/4X optic for crying out loud. but for the money beats an acog 3 to 1 I love it

IOR makes a very good scope, however due to the recent price hikes they did the prices are in my opinion a bit more than they are worth.
I've had several and they are great, but put them side by side with an S&B scope and there is a reason the S&B is at the top of the list of first rate scopes.
So in the lower end I would say IOR is great, but if you start going to their top of the line models and getting close to the 3k mark, then it's time to go look at S&B instead.
+1 on talking to Scott at Liberty Optics, he has been selling IOR for years and knows his stuff & also sells S&B and several other lines.

Val is great to deal with for warranty and sales, you will be very happy. IOR builds a great product I use them, PH and S&B. Val is great to deal with for warranty and sales, you will be very happy. IOR builds a great product I use them, PH and S&B. I have personally dealt with Valdada for repairs of a total of four scope over two occasions. One 2.5-10x42 non-ill reticle had the parallax go out, 9-36 on a .308 would change the parallax knob setting and it would turn with every shot, 3-18x42 SFP Ill-ret and the illumination died. That was three scopes in the first box, all scopes were replaced with no questions asked even though I bought them used. I then had a Snipers Hide 3-18x42 die and it was replaced in 10 days and it was bought used. I know have many IOR scopes and know someone is there and ready to assist me with any questions I may have.

I haven't had to send a scope back to IOR however my friend did sent a scope back to IOR a few months back to correct a tracking problem, it was fixed at no charge (this was about 5 years after he had purchased it from Scott at Liberty Optics) and there was no charge for return shipping & he got the scope back quickly & it looked like new.

I have had 3 IORs and been very happy with them all. I sold one to a guy that thought the windage turret wasn't on perfectly straight (turned out to be user error - he had taken it off and didn't place it back correctly). I called valdada for him and we had the issue (or non-issue really) fixed very quickly. They were very friendly and helpful on the phone, and made the buyer feel very happy to own an IOR. I have heard of earlier models having some problems, but not personally experienced any myself.

IOR's customer service is among the best I've ever received from any company.
Had an issue with my scope. The day they received it they had a brand new scope shipped out to me, no questions asked.
Glass quality is exceptional, obviously.

I am presently researching optics for my Super Sass AR-10 and have been thorough in my quest. Narrowed it down to either a Sightron Siii 8-32 or Valdada 9-36 (almost twice the cost). From the information I've gathered thus far, both would make excellent choices...quality of optics AND customer service if the need arises.
James, you will be happy with Valdada's, but you might want to check out Sightron and the Vortex Viper line as well. Good luck in your findings.

From the information I've gathered thus far, both would make excellent choices...quality of optics AND customer service if the need arises.
James, you will be happy with Valdada's, but you might want to check out Sightron and the Vortex Viper line as well. Good luck in your findings.

I have 4 IOR scopes and 13 Leupold scopes.
Then some weird stuff, like 1 Unertl, 1 Kahles, 1 Super Sniper, 1 Lyman, 1 Bushnell, 1 Belarus, 1 Burris, 1 Monoscope, 1 Baush and Lomb, and a couple dozen Weavers.
I think the IOR has better image resolution than the Leupold. I think the Leupold has better color definition than the IOR.
I am into long range hunting with light weight gear. If I were to buy another scope today, it would probably be a Sightron SIII 3.5x10x44 with MOA-3 Reticule for $1k. But I can probably just use my heavier IOR 4 - 14 X 50 with MP-8 reticule.

I would say good. I have a 3-18 x 42 and it fits my needs perfectly. I believe IOR covers a large spectrum of scope needs from hunting rigs, tactical, to some long distance options. They have digital illumination, great reticules with FFP options. They have great glass and etched reticules. I think you will consistently hear they have great glass as well. I like the turrets and hear good things about customer service. I think the magnification adjustment is very stiff, but that may not be a problem for you. They have descent elevation adjustments, however after mine was mounted I was far north of the middle of the road which required a 20 moa base. That means I have around 19 moa out of the 65 moa to use. In their defense, it could be something with my rifle. If you buy one used, you probably won't lose much if you don't like it and decide to sell.
I think it is very safe to say that overall they are good, but you may want to give a little more measuring criteria for your intended purpose. I agree with the Clark's promotion of a SIII. Scope to $$ ratio, Sightrons are hard to beat.

If you'd been thorough those wouldn't be your choices.
IOR 3-18 FFP
IOR 4-16 FFP
Super Sniper 5-20
Vortex Razor HD 5-20
Bushnell 3-21 FFP
Most every nightforce model
Fixed 10X scopes fit well on 308's too. USO 10X, super sniper HD 10X are good scopes.

If you'd been thorough those wouldn't be your choices.
IOR 3-18 FFP
IOR 4-16 FFP
Super Sniper 5-20
