i've googled my ass of, yahoo search, webcrawler, bing, and the only thing i can find here on the hide is the 3-18x50,that was recently brought up or a 1.5-8 a while back . i hope i didn't just waste $1200 on a scope for my AR.... i plan on using it for an SPR-ish/DMR-ish build. It's going on an 18" noveske upper. thanks for the help in advance

Yep, I have one. It's a great scope. You probably didn't get much of a bite here just because most of the folks are bolt gun users. It was never as popular around here because most folks went for its big brother since they're not worried about close in engagement as much as shooting at a distance.
First rate glass, works beautifully on an AR-15. I've had one for a couple years. I currently use it on a 20" 6.8 SPC with a Geissele trigger. I prefer it to the 3-18 for an AR setup because I find the 2x is better than 3x for close up engagement. I'm kicking around the idea of getting the new IOR 3-18 by 50 for that rifle and putting the 2-12 on a 16" Noveske 6.8 I have.
Have no fears, you just plunked down your $1200 for a great scope for your application! I've looked at a lot of other peoples glass since I bought it and I've never regretted it for a minute.

Mall Ninja: I'm thinking about buying this scope for a POF P308 16.5 that I just bought and I've run into the same problem you did...finding reviews. Would you recommend this scope? I want to use it for distance shooting as well as hunting. Thanks for the help.

Just bought one for my SPR/AR-15 mounted it up yesterday. It seems perfect for the SPR/AR platform, this is my 2rd IOR scope (other is 3.5-18x50). I think you will be more than happy with it!!
