Rifle Scopes IOR Valdada Recon 2 VS Razor Gen 2?

WOW! Just found "the thread". I didn't mean to reopen the wound, going with a Razor.
Bob
Also if you were willing to pay $2700 there are other scopes to look at over the Razor. Not that I think it’s a bad scope. I’d just recommend spending a day or so on this forum to see where you may be better spending your money.

I have just bought a Vortex Razor.
Zeroed it the other day on my 6.5 Tikka Super Varmint.
Very happy with it.
I've always been a Kahles fan, but this scope is very good.
It's got everything I want, and the optics are lovely.
Tinkering with a reload, that's the fun bit.

I'm running the Tikka TAC A1 in 6.5 Creedmoor. I have run a couple hundred rounds of the 147 TAP through it. Bought some 140 ELD to try next.
The TAC AI is a great rifle.
Becoming a top seller here in Australia.
Met a couple of people that are a bit miffed, that a rifle straight from the box, shoots so well compared to their expensive fruit filled custom jobs.
I was tempted to get the TAC, but am very happy with my varmint.
Sako and Tikka are pretty hard to knock.

It's all horses for courses, no way a person wants to lug a bench rifle around the countryside.

if you want it get it , I would if I wanted to spend that much on another scope . I am still hung up on the delta at 1600 to spend 2k+ on either the val or the vortex . It looks like a nice scope there are plenty of video online with people using them with great effect the 150 moa is nice and that 40mm is pretty hard to beat view wise . Good luck on what ever you decide to get may it work well for you for many years to come . Just to ask how much is he asking for it ?

Thanks, too much negative history here with the owner. I have to get it right the first time. I'll keep searching for a deal on a razor.

I have an IOR 3-18X42 that I bought long before I knew about snipers hide.
I have had no issues but wouldn't try a and sell it around here if I was to part with it.
It has mainly been used for a hunting optic.

Had 3 IOR's, recently sold the 1.5-8 and the 1-4, still use the 3.5-18. Back between 2009 and 2012 when I bought them, they were priced competitively, had very good glass and a good feature set- I have no complaints and they have never wronged me, but a decade later the mid tier scope market has been turned on it's head and they now look hilariously overpriced.
They also apparently mightily fucked Lowlight off with an unsanctioned "Snipers hide" scope....

Kind of leaning toward the Recon 2 over the Razor Gen 2 from researching the internet. Any real life Pro's/Con's from forum members?
Thanks in advance,
Bob
If you can get by without a zero stop, this is an excellent scope:

It's not an IOR product?
No, the recon G2 is a Valdada product (Valdada is also the importer of IOR),
the G2 is his own take on a japanese made, high end optic. Supposedly the objective and ocular lenses are Schott, with the internal lenses being Japanese manufacture.

There is an IOR recon, but it is not the "G2".
