Its not caliber, its shot placement.
When I have any reservations regarding a shot, I dont take it. I wont hunt with anybody that claims to take head shots. Imo, its just not worth the possibility of a botched shot that ends in a wounded animal. A clean kill on the animal is the top priority. I have passed on MANY opportunities, but in the end, I really dont feel there is an option.
This is serious to me because I know too many 'hunters' that wound more animals than they take home.
I live on a ranch, have hunted often, made 100s of kills and can honestly say that I have never wounded an animal.
