Is a 8.5 twist too fast for 140-168' VLD in 7mm?

Got a new barrel that is 8.5 twist- headed for heavier 7mm bullets 180-190matrix, etc


kind of thinking of changing the build and was wondering if I shoot 140grn bullets through the 8.5 twist, if this wont be a good combo....

Should be just right. my 9 twist works great for a 162amax

choot it. just not too quickly. give it time to cool between shots. I have an 8.5 twist on all my 7's. it'll run lighter than 168's and 162's, but you gotta watch how quickly you shoot as well as velocity. you don't want one to desintigrate right past the muzzle.
