Ammo and mags, baby. That's most of my focus. But overall, money IS tight. The holidays are approaching, and that's a massive financial stressor for many people.
However, there are a few other factors at play here. First, Black Friday is around the corner. People want to be ready to snag what they're after when it's at the lowest price of the year (in many cases), and when doing so means they get the same things you're selling as used for only a little extra new, most will go new when they can.
Second, SHOT show is just over two months away. I know some people hold off on buying new products until they know what's coming to market soon. I'm in this camp with regard to a Vortex Razor. I have an SPR rifle I'm just finishing up, and have a PSTII for it, but I want to upgrade and have a 50% off cert I can use through Vortex. There's nothing wrong with the Razor Gen2 or AMG offerings, but if Vortex has been listening and has a 3-18x AMG up their sleeve with the EBR-7C reticle in it, I'll gladly use the PSTII and wait to upgrade.
Pretty sure that covers most bases. But yeah, I've been rifle rich and ammo poor for too long. Sold my beloved AIAT recently because I just couldn't afford to feed it when I factored in other obligations and life changes in the past few months. So now I'm focusing on being able to feed what I have, especially with an election year coming up that will certainly bring crazy ammo prices with it.
