    Surprise, AZ
I have upgraded my AR 10 A4 with a Noveske N6 barrel, Noveske quad rail and a PRS Stock Kit. My last step is to replace the very heavy trigger with a Geissele SSA-E Trigger. Is the trigger and hammer pin holes .154 on my rifle or the larger .169 size?
    TIA

Yep...you got the right one, Sam (the 0.154/small pin that is). I run an SSA-E in my AR-10TC and it is a thing of beauty! You'll be VERY pleased with that choice.

Thanks guys for the reply. It is really appreciated. ORD, what kind of groups are you getting with your AR 10TC? Right now because of the heavy trigger pull (At least 10 lbs.) The heaviest trigger on any rifle I have ever owned. I usually get 3-4 shots well under an inch and 1 or 2 that open the groups up by an inch of so. I know when the shot will be off as I can see the scope move off what I intend to be my POA. I usually can handle heavier trigger pulls but the trigger on my AR 10 A4 is something else.

The stock, mil-spec Armalite triggers are not only heavy, they tend to be rather "rough" too in my experience which doesn't help matters of precision/accuracy. I've smoothed a few up, but they still aren't great. My 10TC has always been sub-MOA for me with the Geissele and my handloads or match fodder...the 2-stage trigger it came with wasn't awful by any means, but it was certainly no Geissele either! ;) With a Noveske tube on your A4, I'd expect your results would be similar to mine once you get the trigger sorted out.

    ORD,
Thanks once again for the feedback. The stock trigger on the AR 10A4 wasn't horrible in terms of roughness or creep just such a darn heavy let off. My trigger finger was starting to get muscular due to the hard trigger pull. LOL

No surprise there on the weight of pull. Their stock triggers have a pretty wide range of weights. The worst I have seen was ~9lbs on my trigger pull gauge with the best still being stupid heavy at ~6lbs...neither of which are acceptable in my book for a precision-minded AR, but not unexpected for their rack-grade, $40 FCG. ;)

I just finished a 6.5 Creedmoor build with Black Rain LR308 receiver set and installed Geissele NM Match adjustable trigger. Trigger pins measure .1555, and would not fit through lower without reaming, which I have postponed by using KNS non rotating pins, which did fit tight, but without having to permanently modify lower. Did tighten just a bit too snug, which will inhibit trigger's reset-very frustrating till I realized the subtle, but obvious tension required. All said, have either SSA-E's or NM/match triggers in all of my LR/AR10/15's. Buy with complete confidence, but measure pins at the front end of install.

bobke, thanks for the heads up. Do you mean measuring the pins that are currently in my AR 10A4? Or does the SSA-E come with aa new set of pins that require measurement? I am new at this game of installing a new trigger even after 40 years of competitive and recreational shooting..

Fresh set of pins specific to your SSA-E or any other Geissele trigger are part of the kit that accompanies your new squeeze. I've put off modifying lower till I have some more time on NM/M trigger, and feel there may be more absolute precision with oversize trigger pins, but can wait now that I've for full trigger reset with KNS pins. Every receiver just slightly different by maybe a half thou or so, so always best, in my mind, to test fit all prior to install to be aware of fit options.
