Is the NightForce BEAST out there?

Nope it's due in August, but my guess is late November. Ill be happy if mine arrives by Christmas. I had the first order in at Eurooptic. They stopped taking preorders a few months ago. They have well over a year's worth of BEASTs to hand make. We are all very excited to get our paws on them.
Another one with ya on the list of guys who's spent the money but still waiting on it to show up. The bitch of it is that if I don't get it by Oct/Nov it will be another YEAR until I get to actually lay my hands on it. If that ends up being the case, I am going to POUT like a child.

That's even nicer to hear. It was NOT an easy decision to spend S&B money (I got the H-59 which puts it about 4k) on a piece of kit I'd never even seen much less handled in real life, but I'd long said that if NF ever stepped up to that mag range in an FFP, with a Horus option, I'd try it. NF did, and added some interesting features as well, so I figured I'd put up.
As a S&B owner, were you able to make any level of comparison with the glass on the BEAST vs your S&B?

Even better. I've been dreading the the day when the first ones get distributed and guys start with "this thing is a POS, don't waste your money, selling mine for another S&B" etc. I'm not looking for NF to "replace" S&B with the introduction of this scope, but I legitimately WANT for it to be a true solid performer at the top of the optics market and to offer a real alternative to S&B in that price range.
Hopefully the next few months will provide some real solid shooting impressions from some of ya'll with the necessary experience to really evaluate it and let those of us who are still waiting get some honest evaluations of what we're getting.

LOL glass was on par or better than the German's glass? I thought I had read that it WAS German glass.
This is all speculation until we get them in hand. They delayed the release because they had to go back to the drawing board on a few things. And that came straight from NF.
Nightforce uses German glass. German leads the world in glass quality with Japan a close second. You don't want American glass... The Krauts have been doing it right for thousands of years.
CRAP! I'm approaching the same situation, I'll be home for a few weeks in October and have about 10k worth of new rifles that were going to share the BEAST for LR shooting. I'm either going to have to just NOT shoot them at LR and stick one of my other scopes on them for 100yd grouping or buy a fill-in scope for the BEAST. It would be REALLY nice if Nightforce offered a deal/incentive whatever for those of us with them on order for a discount on another NF scope while we wait for the orders to be filled.
As my time in the U.S. approaches I guess I'll have to consider whether to cancel the order on the BEAST, find a temporary replacement, or just not do much shooting, which is not an appealing option.
And you'll be waiting another full 2 months before you see it. Christmas, if we are lucky...
I placed a call to NF yesterday, and was told they shipped the first one out last week. Also said they will begin to fill orders when they have enough scopes to fill the order. They won't send out a scope here and there, just complete orders. He also said they quit taking backorders mid summer.
Lowlight has one in MOA he received about 10/12. He said the MIL-R are not yet available, but should be coming out about now. You should check out the amazing pictures he has shot through it!!!
I have had four people on my pre-order list give up and get a Schmidt. If anyone wants one let me know. We ordered as soon as they were introduced so we should be pretty high up on the list but I have no clue when they will ship.
