Is there a Picatinny rail shorter than .38"?

Hi all. I am trying to mount a scope as close to the bore as possible on a Winchester M70, 300 WSM. It is a 42 mm objective. I would like to mount it on a rail platform if possible. However, this puts the scope higher than I would like it. Does anyone make a picatinny rail shorter than .38" high? Most of the height of the Picatinny rail seems like wasted space. If there was a much lower profile rail, I could mount low Seekins rings (or something comparable) and get down just as low as I want. Thanks!

What height rings are you using?
Depends on the rifle and the scope. Some can be mounted lower than others. Scopes on ARs with full length rails need taller mounts than scopes on traditional wood stocked bolt action rifles. I don't pay too much attention to it and couldn't tell you- without measuring- what height rings I've used. I use rings tall enough for the bell of the optic to clear the barrel/handguard. Then I adjust my check weld with either a stock adjustment, or by building it up with foam and "vet wrap" or a stock pack.

Want to use these.

.82” to center of ring.
Ok, the real questions are; "how high is higher than you'd like?,and why is that too high?"
