Night Vision Is there such a thing as an LWIR rangefinder?

I have SWIR covered but that does nothing for using a thermal. Is there such a thing as a thermal compatible LRF? Discuss.

I did google. I did search. It wasn't super helpful.

What do you mean by LWIR rangefinder? A rangefinder with a laser that is visible by LWIR camera?

You are unlikely to see it in a civilian world in the foreseeable future or ever. Such devices do exist, but they are expensive, complicated and serve a very specific purpose.

Generally, the R&D money is going toward laser devices that you can NOT see with commonly available cameras, not the other way around.
