J.D. Robb (Nora Roberts writing under pseudonym) has crafted a nifty series of murder mysteries dealing with New York City in the years beyond ca. 2058 under the titles ... in Death. Roughly 20 books so far. Post urban wars, the future cosmopolitan society has some interesting societal evolutionary twists.

I wonder who's been to this well, and what they are thinking of the books.
