Mine shoots great with 42.3 grains of H4350 and 130 VLD
Perhaps take John Paul's advise:
"123 Lapua SCENAR or the 123 Hornady Amax for a great all around compromise between MV and BC for use in long range unknown distance applications. Here is a couple loads I’ve had good luck with:
42.5 grains of N‐550 at 2.800 with a Federal 210M.
47.5 grains of Hodgdon SuperPerformance with the 123 Amax (moly coated) and a Fed. 215M Drop two grains if you want to use a non coated bullet."

Im using 41.5gr of H4350, fed 210M primer, 140gr Amax in a hornady case. I have a 24in fulton armory upper. I get minor ejector swipes and minor primer flow. It is basicly whats on the box from hornady.
My JP 6.5 creed DOES NOT like the 130VLDs.
It DOES like the 123 Lapuas.

They still haven't ironed out all the kinks in the Creedmoor like they have in the 260. That being said you could try slowing down to 2750-2800 and see how that works.
Max loads are rarely the most accurate and the whole reason for the Creedmoor is to use VLDs due to the 260 shorter neck.

I agree with WhiteHorze. My load at 43.5 is good, but not great. My best accuracy load seems to come from factory 120 AMAXs. Freakin' 1 hole groups. My JP loves the Hornady factory stuff. Silly gun!!!

My LRP hates the factory Hornady stuff (140 and 120 A max). 1+ MOA. It likes 130 VLD behind 43gr IMR4350. < 0.5 MOA.
It also likes 140 gr SMKs behind 40gr IMR4350. Slow but accurate. About 0.5 MOA.
I've got a 24" Fulton button barrel and I know this is contrary to everything I've read about the Creedmoor, but took a stab at both 107 Sierra and 108 Lapua's a month or so ago, and with 39.7 Varget and F210M in 2x fired brass, consistently shoots 5 shots in .5-.6 five shot groups. Have had it to 500 in pretty strong crosswinds and it does move a good bit, but have a good inventory of both, so may stick with it for time being. 2915 in 24" AR, 3025 in 26" bolt with Lilja barrel, and equally or slightly more accurate in bolt gun. Have a good bunch of VLD's, 123/140 AMax and 123/139 Lapua's, but I truly stumbled into this load without any real effort, and it's working. Not the mainstream path, nor optimal, but works.

Had plenty of primer issues trying to run 140s in my GAP10 and also had primer issues trying 140s in the JP... both GAP and JP suggested sticking with 130s or lighter in the gas guns as they would provide better performance without the pressure signs. They were right, the 140s are now only for my bolt rifle.

Primers definitely show more effect in AR than bolt with same loads. A bit flatter and some flow around firing pin strike, but doesn't seem unmanageable. Rainier BCG and bolt, headspaced using PTG no go gauge, and JP lo pro adjustable gas block. Have gas set to drop brass at 3 o'clock, with Tubb carrier weight in place. Brass sized for .002 setback/bump and no primer pocket issues, to date. Just got hold of some 140 AMax, so they're in queue to test. Will report up when I do.
Will say the Fulton/Krieger button barrel has been very easy to load for accuracy, can only imagine what a full on cut rifled Krieger will do in AR.

My GAP-10 6.5 CM, 22" is shooting bugholes at 100 and 4" groups at 550 with 41.5 g H4350 and Lapua Scenar 136L's. I still can't get over how accurate this combo is!
I don't get it, I run 43 grains H4350, 130 vld, mag length,just went out today to test out to 1000, my speeds were way slower than all of yours, can my adjustable gas block affect speed? I was very disappointed with the speed I am getting?? I was getting 2700 fps when I backed it into shooter to match my dope.
I have a dpms top end that is not very consistent. I have run h and imr 4350 through it with varied results. One group will be .7, and the next will be 2.0. To keep the barrel from getting too hot, I'll shoot two five shot groups, then shoot a group out of my 308 just to give the CM a short break. At the end of the session I will have all kinds of groups from the CM, and one hole from the 308, that usually runs about .8 from around 30 shots. Leaving in an hour to try some r17 with lapua 123 and hornady 140's. I'm starting to think that I've got a mechanical problem like an improperly torqued barrel nut or something. So far this project has been expensive and lacking on the satisfaction side. Hoping to find some answers today.
I have a new kreiger barrel, about 80 rounds so far. all test loads, I have tried 140 amax, 142 smk, 139 and 136 scenars, 140 berger hybrids, all had bad crater and some pierced primers, backed down to the 130 vld and some 123 scenars, less cratering but the speed was a real eye opener. I will give it some more rounds. Will the adj gas block being too open effect speed?
So glad i found this thread! I just took delivery of my new JP LRP 260. I loaded up some Lapua 123gr with 42gr H4350 (thought that was a nice mild load) and went shooting...
1) Got some interesting marks on the brass, including a horizontal stripe around the circumference of the brass - will post pics later. Brass also very dirty.
2) Got inconsistant ejection, sometimes brass getting caught at 90 deg in the ejection cut out.
From reading all the above, i think that 42gr H4350 is a little on the low side for a 123gr scenar, might try 42.5 or 43gr. Also think that i need to play with the gas block, maybe overgassed? I will report back with findings...

here are some pics to describe what i am seeing.... i get a ding in the case mouth and a scratch around the middle of the cartridge. I am going to reduce the gas and see what happens...
I am open to the collective wisdom of the hide here... this is my first foray into loading for a semi-auto. (have loaded plenty .260 for the bolt gun, am learning the semi auto is a whole 'nuther kettle of fish

Also settled on a load:
- 43gr H4350

- Lapua brass full length resized, small base die.
- loaded to pmag length
- around 2750 fps.
Resulted in 0.5MOA grouping at 550 yards, required 3.1 mils elevation to get there.

could be that they used locktite to keep your crews from moving? Mine was tight, but not THAT tight.
Mine was loctited too.
I used a soldering iron to heat the screw to remove. Didn't wanna risk stripping the hex.

I'm new to this forum and just picked up my 6.5 creedmoor this past Wednesday from Lone Star Armory. I topped the rifle with a Leupold Mark 6 3x18x44. This rifle has the JP high pressure bolt and firing pin with a 8 twist Brux barrel(Cryo treated and DLC coated) and adjustable gas block.
I started load development today using Hornady brass, Federal 210M primers, 140gr AMAX bullets and H4350 powder. I made round rounds each of 40 gr, 40.2, 40.4, 40.6, 40.8 and 41. When the gun was finished, we checked the velocities with 40.5 grains and achieved 2538 fps with a can attached. The 140 grain factory Hornady ammo ran an average of 2700 fps. I didn't have a chronograph with me today while shooting groups. The rifle was shooting great groups with the last being around 1/2 MOA with the 41 grain load with the overall length of 2.808.
I had flattened primers and minimal swipes on the bottom of the case. Also had small dents where the case hit the brass deflector. Here is the group with 41 grains

I found that just lightly deburring/radiusing the feedramp and taming down the razor ridge inbetween the feedramps keep brass from looking chewed up. I had a 24" Fulton criterion and it shot 140 amaz good, but only at 1700 ish. I could get 123 amax to 2925 with h4350 and it was my go to load. Ended up selling that rifle a couple years ago and now miss it. I stumbled across a dpms 6.5 cm upper for sale on midway and pulled the trigger on it, i've had several SS varmint barrel dpms rifles and they all managed less then 3/4moa groups , usually smaller if my head was screwed on. Waiting on a stripped lower to come in from brownells, ordered last Tuesday, brownells really seem to be falling back on shipping these days. Used be that i could order and have it 2-3 days later now it takes 5-7 days. Rant off, looking forward to shooting this past weekend and couldn't cause lower didn't make it, i got 123 loaded over 37.5-40.0 gr of varget in .3 gr increments.
Has anyone loaded the 130 grain Nosler Accubonds? If so, what was the overall length? Can you load them to 2.8"???
