I couldn't wait I slapped a Shepperd ranging scope on it. 3 rounds zero. 3 x 5 rd groups 2 M118LR and 1 Fed 168 GMMC all right at 1 MOA right out of the box

I'll get pics ASAP

can't beat that with a wooden stick. Can't wait to see it. The one thing I like about the RRA is the cheap mags.

Re: Just got my new RR LAR-8 20" with the new RR Tube

I just got the same rifle (RRA 20") but got their Advanced Half-Quad tube - still waiting on the tube since I bought it separate from the rifle. I put a Vortex 4-16 scope on it, and from what I've heard I won't be disappointed. Was going to do a brief review of the scope for my brother/dad at some point, so may post something about it here also.
I haven't shot it yet, but I'm hoping next weekend will be the time...going to West Virginia this weekend, so I have to wait even longer.
My brother just bought a DPMS SASS, and is interested in comparing the two guns. I didn't have the $ for a SASS, but figured this would fit both my needs and my wallet. I'm interested in hearing anything anyone has to say about the RR build.

M25BeastShooter - speaking of wallet, where'd you find the mags for $11? I'd like to pick up a couple, but the cheapest I can find are old, beat-up mags for ~$13/each or so.

Thanks,
-S

I have a buddy he had some. I got the adavanced quad it has a nice forearm area, the rail lines up with the upper reciever rail the only thing I did was take the front swivel off as it just hangs out there swinging around. I put a swivel mount with a QD and harris bi-pod as an attachement/sling point.

Re: Just got my new RR LAR-8 20" with the new RR Tube

I am glad to see more of these popping up. I have been working on mine for a little while now. It started out as a LAR-8 Varmint with the 26" tube. I had it cut to 18" and had a SAS supressor adaptor installed. I found a soloution to not being able to add a PRS stock to it by getting a spacer that moves the stock back just far enough that the charging handle does not hit the cheek riser. I have also installed a 3 way adjustable gas block. My JP handguard will be here tomorrow and then its all getting duracoated. I am dying to shoot this thing. This is how it sits right now.
