I enjoyed watching the race. My grandpa was big into quarter horses, he had a pretty good stable and apparently gained some notoriety breeding them. It was this passion in my Grandpa that triggered an equally intense passion with my Dad...a deep hatred of all things horse. He loathed them and when he had a place of his own he wouldn't allow them anywhere near his property. I am not a big fan either. I have been around them enough (and some of the requisite horse people maniacs) to adopt an equally deep dislike for them.

Wife has one pasture ornament left, down from three. There's different kinds of horses, roping, reining, jumping, dressage, etc. She has rubbin horses, you go out and rub 'em. I do the totin an a'fetchin. She doesn't ride anymore since that one fall. But she still takes care of one end, I take care of the other. I did get rid of the pool boy though, it was that or get a pool.

Watch the Derby every year, this year was pretty exciting for a bunch of horses running in a circle.

Thank you,
MrSmith

Sgt. Reckless was one hell of small horse/pony, devoted her life to the Marines she loved, to the point they gave up their flak jackets to protect her, brought her back to the USA.

The book is a good read, the statue at the Kentucky Horse Park and the one at Camp Pendleton are worth seeing.

Equines are one of mans best friends right up there with the Canine.
Wher'd all that dust come from?

In the Hunter/Jumper Show World Today, rich Barbie's get automatic horses so they don't have to know how to ride, Daddy just needs to pay the bucks for Princess to win, leaves out all the good riders that really have the talent but not the pockets. My wife rode with USET in the day, you had to be able to ride, still has her A rated Judge Licenses. Since we are from cattle ranching stock, these days it's all pleasure, non-show horses, I still have one cousin still heavy into cattle ranching in Colorado.

Amazing race, I watched it about 6 times. He's entered last minute Friday, comes from 21st, working his way through the herd. All jacked up at the end of the race. Never seen anything like that. Hopefully clean, but the perfect setup 80:1.
