This is just a head’s up but apparently, this Kestrel AB now supports NiMH batteries. I had always thought that the Kestrel only supports either regular alkaline or Lithium batteries, with the latter being the only good choice as the alkaline can leak and damage the unit.
Recently I started using rechargeable NiMH batteries and tested them in my AB. When I first put them in, the unit was configured for Lithium and the unit not surprising says that my “lithium” was only at around 80 odd%. I used it as such and it worked just fine.
