Kestrel Notice regarding the MagnetoSpeed’s new barrel cooler, Riflekühl: We are seeing the Kestrel compass lose its calibration when stored near the Riflekühl, which has a powerful magnet in it that wipes out the Kestrel compass calibration whether the Riflekühl is on or off. It is recommended you keep your Kestrel away from the Riflekühl to keep your calibration.

good to know! i've been keeping mine in the same pouch in my pack (although the kestrel has been in a thick case)

Had to send in two different kestrels because my compass was going crazy. I did keep my riflekuhl in the same pocket too. Good to know this was why.

Thanks for this notice. I don't have a RifleKuhl, but this notice made me realize the magnet in my new bino harness must be responsible for my Kestrel loosing compass calibration. I'm having to re-calibrate every time I'm at the range!
