Glad that your second answer matches what I was told....reading your first I was thinking WTF.....
Somewhere in this thread you mentioned that you would shoot the occasional 1000 yard shot. If I were you I'd wait to do the paid upgrade; I think your Sportsman will serve you well without it. Or at least wait until you've tried it out. It's your money, of course, but.....

I wasn't aware of this thread until today but happened upon the Cameraland specials flyer and was able to order one of the sweet Kestrel Sportsman units. Should be here in a few days. Can't wait!
