Based on the video below, I am concerned about the screen size. It appears that she is holding the new Kestrel/Horus, and it looks like the size of an existing 4500. That is a really small screen to have that much data on. Maybe <span style="font-weight: bold">Kestrelchick </span>will chime in.

You can't rely on the iPhone it is not a local weather station. As well it needs a wifi or cell signal, the Kestrel doesn't have these limitations. </div></div>

I use the 4500NV simply because it ha all important info on one device, jut make sure you allow it to acclimate itself if pulling it out of a case, pouch, or different temp enviroment uch as an a/c car to a range. You will get wrong initial readings

fyi below. I think Horus/Kestrel deserve a lot of credit for partnering to satisfy this area of the market. We will have to see how the product shapes up but I am a little concerned not only about the screen size but how this product will compete with the Kestrel/iphone combination with the latter offering arguably greater functionality, easier downloads/updates and also uploads. Can't judge it until we've seen its but great that it's coming in time for Xmas !

saw the video for the kestrel horus...looked like they were shooting at 100m...not quite the distance necessary for a ballistics computer

Screen size is what has also intrigued me about this unit... I cant comment on it until I have a fiddle with one.

Until then i will have to use the 4500NV and iPhone combo... not that theres anything wrong with that
