Do you meant the light spot? Hard to tell much front he photo. No doubt they get tumors and such just like we do. Maybe an infection from Lyme?

Botfly? We get them so bad in the summer that squirrels will become infested with them to the point of killing them. It’s a horror show when you come up on one. My wife hires me out to kill the squirrels she deems too far gone in our yard.

Bots, lumpy jaw, and the "black mole virus" shown in the pic above (post 8)(I dont remember the real name for it) are common deer ailments in the southeast.

Environmental diseases.

You know, like Agent Orange, etc.

That shit got used plenty in CONUS, too.

My Brother has the exact same issues as I do, due to AO. But his exposure was in Ft. McClellan, and he's SOL with the VA. Blame Congress; they've been sitting on enabling legislation for years. Bob's life is critically impaired, and I'm afraid we're going to lose him fairly soon, he's 83.

The Fort McClellan Health Registry Act was introduced to Congress by the House Veterans’ Affairs Subcommittee on Health. The act directs the VA to create a registry for veterans who served at Fort McClellan between Jan. 1, 1935 and May 20, 1999 and who:
  1. Applied for care or serviced from the VA;
  2. Files a claim for compensation on the basis of any disability which may be associated with their service at Fort McClellan;
  3. Dies and is survived by a spouse, child, or parent who files a claim for dependency and indemnity compensation on the basis of such service;
  4. Requests a health exam from the VA; or
  5. Receives a health exam from the VA and requests inclusion into the Registry.
The legislation has been awaiting since it was introduced on June 2, 2015.

This is one reason why I'm unhappy with Pelosi for essentially shutting down the HofR in order to pursue her personal vendetta with the Executive Department. May she rot in Leavenworth.

We Vietnam Vets should all get on her ass about this one. It's not just about us.

Agent Orange: Agent Orange exposure is not presumptive for Fort McClellan veterans despite the report of the U.S. Army Hygiene Agency that notes that between 1974 and 1976, nearly 30,000 gallons of herbicides 2,4,5-T and 2,4-D were used at Fort McClellan (Agent Orange is a 50/50 mixture of those two herbicides). Agent Orange exposure is linked to Parkinson’s disease, myelomas, lymphomas, Hodgkin’s disease, Diabetes Type II, Leukemia, Amyloidosis, Peripheral Neuropathy (early onset), Prostate Cancer, and respiratory cancers.

Agent Orange is known to have been present and in use as a defoliant at Ft. McClellan since 1929...

Bob's my sole surviving sibling and my key mentor; I did the research...

Below is a list of common conditions that are caused by the different toxins that were present at Fort McClellan:
  • PCB – liver damage, liver cancer, skin conditions, anemia, changes in the immune system, impaired reproduction
  • Agent Orange – myelomas, Hodgkin’s disease, diabetes mellitus II, Parkinson’s disorder, leukemia, early onset peripheral neuropathy, prostate cancer, respiratory cancers, amyloidosis, ischemic heart disease
  • Sulfur Mustard – respiratory cancers, long-term respiratory problems, bronchitis, problems with sexual function due to lower sperm counts
  • Cobalt – exposure to high levels of cobalt can result in lung and heart problems, dermatitis, liver problems, and kidney problems. Exposure to high levels of cobalt can also result in changes to the genetic materials within a body’s cells and may result in development of some cancers.
  • Cesium – mammary tumors, birth defects, decreased mental abilities, damage to cells
  • Plutonium – cancers of the lungs, liver, and bones; and immune system problems
  • Uranium – kidney disease, bone cancer, lung cancer
  • Agent Blue – bladder cancer, stomach cancer, lymphatic cancers, lung cancer, leukemia, skin cancers, liver cancer
Please note, the above conditions are not an exhaustive list of the health effects related to exposure to the toxins at Fort McClellan.

Railways used it to clear right-of-way; and that's just one of the applications described here among a ton. Scroll down to CONCERNS ABOUT OTHER EXPOSURES TO 2,4,5-T AND TCDD
